printNew contacts med Swedish schools
During this school year Haapaveden Opisto has established new contacts with two Swedish schools.
In the beginning of October three lecturers, Lotten Wahlström, Karen Nilsson och Berith Holm, from Tannbergsskolan i Lycksele made a preparatory visit to our folk high school. During three days we had the opportunity to make aquainted with each others' schools, curriculums and especially the study programmes in Child and Leisure/Youth and Leisure. We also started planning various ways of cooperation. This planning continues at the moment and we hope that the results will be seen next academic year.
The other Swedish contact was Strömbackaskolan i Piteå. Our lecturer Riikka Suokas made a preparatory visit there last autumn and in February 2009 two of our youth and leisure students, Mirka Roivainen and Harri Liikala made their two week work placement in Klubbgärdets Förskola/Strömbackaskolan (BF). We are looking forward to hosting some Swedish child and leisure students /teachers as the next step.
