Leonardo Expert 2006 Youth Work and Skills Demonstrations
Project Objectives
- to improve and update the competence of teachers and workplace instructors in the youth field by giving them an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience in a different country and organizational context
- to get acquainted with the educational system in Scotland
- to examine/compare skills demonstration models and implementation alternatives in Scotland and Finland
- to get/share information about good practices in on-the-job learning in Scotland and Finland as well as about support services and materials for students during the on-the-job learning periods.
- to discuss experiences of the on-the-job learning periods (spring 2002 and spring 2005) of Finnish students in Elgin (with the representatives of the Moray Council)
- to develop and prepare a skills demonstration test for the Finnish module "Instructing Multicultural Activities"
- to compare how the transition of students from educational programmes into the workforce is promoted in Scotland and Finland
Leonardo Mobility 3. -9.4. 2006-04-13
Two Finnish youth and leisure lecturers and two representatives from partner organisation visited Elgin 3.4 - 9.4.2006. Hannele Alanärä (Kepli - Keskipohjanmaan Liikunta ry), Anja Martinmäki (4H, Haapavesi), Elisa Männistö, and Anne Rikkola visited Moray College and Moray Council, Young Farmers Association and Activities for School Children - project.
